The 'Ecolab'

The ‘EcoLab’ is a new build smart living research facility designed by Studio Manifest, being constructed by ESH. It forms part of a larger collaboration between The University of Suffolk, BT and Suffolk County Council at Adastral Park, Martlesham. As an addition to the DigiTech Centre already on site, the construction of the Lab will provide a platform for evaluation and development of the next generation of “Smart” technologies and the impact of software systems (AI) to deliver sustainable living.

Utilising the latest offsite construction techniques, works will commence in November 2021 with the EcoLab complete and in full operation by March 2022.
