Ipswich Veterinary Practice, Ipswich, Suffolk.

The construction a new Veterinary Practice at Scrivener Drive in Ipswich was awarded under a two stage tender and was secured by Elliston, Steady & Hawes.

Ipswich Veterinary Centre is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art veterinary practice that offers 24 hour support for pets. Overnight staff accommodation, new treatment rooms and a Pet Shop all formed part of the brief.

The building was constructed using a single storey steel framed structure clad with insulated roof and wall cladding and low-level brickwork. The overnight / rest rooms are constructed using a two-storey steel frame structure with precast concrete first floor slab and staircases. Our own in-house aluminium company provided the windows / screens and entrance doors. The project included the construction of the external car parking and paved areas, landscaping, drainage and services.

Most of the project was delivered on a design and build basis and we worked closely with the design consultants to ensure the smooth delivery of the scheme.
